The air filter is equipped with a differential pressure switch. When the differential pressure switch reaches the set value of the differential pressure switch, or when the internal timer reaches zero, the LCD displays that the air filter is clogged, indicating that the air filter is clean or replaced. Maintenance should be carried out after the air compressor is shut down and corresponding measures are taken, as follows:
1. Open the end cover.
2. Loosen the air filter element fixing bolt and take out the filter element.
3. Check the clogging of the air filter element, and use compressed air to blow away the dust from the inside out. Note that the pressure of the compressed air does not exceed 0.3MPa.
4. The air filter element should be replaced if it is damaged. To check whether the air filter element is damaged, you can use an electric light to place it inside the air filter element and observe whether there is any light exposed from the outside.
5. When the surface of the filter element is stained with oil, the air filter element should be replaced with a new one.
6. Cover the end cap after cleaning or replacing the filter element.
7. Check that the differential pressure switch equipped with the air filter element is normal and the preset value does not exceed 50kPa.
The air filter is a component that filters out air dust and dirt. The filtered clean air enters the compression chamber of the screw rotor for compression. Because the internal gap of the screw machine only allows particles within 15u to be filtered out. If the air filter element is clogged and damaged, a large amount of particles larger than 15u will enter the internal circulation of the screw machine, which will not only greatly shorten the service life of the oil filter element and oil fine separation element, but also cause a large amount of particles to directly enter the bearing cavity, accelerate bearing wear and increase the rotor clearance. The compression efficiency is reduced, and the rotor may even become dry and seize to death.
The air filter element should be maintained once a week. Unscrew the gland nut, take out the air filter element, and use 0.2-0.4Mpa compressed air to blow away the dust particles on the outer surface of the air filter element from the inner cavity of the air filter element. Use a clean rag to clean the air filter element. Wipe away any dirt on the inner wall of the filter housing. Reinstall the air filter element, making sure that the sealing ring at the front end of the air filter element fits tightly with the inner end surface of the air filter housing. The maintenance of the diesel engine air intake air filter of the diesel-powered screw engine should be carried out simultaneously with the air compressor air filter, and the maintenance methods are the same.
Under normal circumstances, the air filter element should be replaced every 1000-1500 hours. In places where the environment is particularly harsh, such as mines, ceramic factories, cotton spinning mills, etc., it is recommended to replace the air filter element every 500 hours.
When cleaning or replacing the air filter element, the components should be paired one by one to prevent foreign matter from falling into the intake valve.
Regularly check whether the air intake telescopic tube is damaged or flattened, and whether the connection between the telescopic tube and the air filter intake valve is loose or leaking. If found, it must be replaced in time.
