Reasons for screw air compressor shutdown

Although some customers have been using air compressors, sometimes they still don't know why they shut down, so this shutdown reason analysis is compiled for users:

1. Oil sprays out from the air inlet of the screw air compressor when it shuts down When the air compressor suddenly shuts down and the exhaust valve is not opened in time to discharge the exhaust gas, the air inlet sprays outward. At this time, you should first check whether the air inlet valve is faulty and cannot be closed normally, and then check whether the oil cut-off solenoid valve is faulty. If it is normal, you should further check whether the check valve on the main exhaust pipe can be closed in time or completely. If there is a fault, it should be eliminated.

2. Automatic shutdown of the screw air compressor during operation There are two main reasons for the automatic tripping and shutdown of the machine during operation: One is the power supply network factor. Because the machine itself has protection devices such as undervoltage protector, wrong phase protector, and high-voltage protector. When the grid voltage is about 90% lower than the rated voltage (380V), or the power phase sequence is incorrect and the three-phase power supply is missing, it will automatically trip and shut down.

The second is that the exhaust temperature is too high. It may be that the lubricating oil is missing, the cooler is blocked, or the temperature control valve fails to work normally, etc.

3. The exhaust pressure of the screw air compressor is too low. First check whether the air intake valve is fully open and whether the current is within the normal range. Then check whether the external gas consumption has increased or whether there is a leak.

4. The temperature is too high. This is a common fault of the screw air compressor. Here is a detailed description. The screw air compressor sets the highest exhaust temperature to 120 degrees Celsius. When it reaches 110 degrees, the temperature warning light starts to flash and alarm, and it will automatically shut down when it exceeds 120 degrees.
