Performance Analysis of Screw Air Compressor

In today's market, screw air compressors should have a series of advantages such as simple structure, reliable operation and convenient operation. Now they have been widely used in the entire market. So what are the advantages of the structure and performance of screw air compressors? Let's analyze it.

First of all, the screw air compressor unit is composed of a screw compressor host, a motor, an oil-gas separator, a cooler, a fan, a water separator, an electrical control box, and an air pipeline, an oil pipeline, and a regulating system.

Let's talk about the structure and performance analysis of the screw air compressor

1. The screw compressor is a double-shaft positive displacement rotary compressor. It is mainly composed of two rotors, the main (male) and the auxiliary (female), to form a meshing pair. The main and auxiliary rotors form a closed elementary volume with the inner wall of the casing; while the single screw compressor is a single-shaft positive displacement rotary compressor. Its meshing pair is composed of a worm and two symmetrically arranged star wheels. The closed elementary volume is formed by its worm groove and the star wheel tooth surface and the inner wall of the casing. The body of the screw compressor is divided into two types, one is belt drive type and the other is direct drive type. Among them, the belt drive type is more suitable for compressors with a power of about 22kW. It is a belt drive that uses two pulleys manufactured according to the speed ratio to transmit power through the belt; the direct drive type is a coupling that combines the electric source with the main machine. The worm compressor can directly drive the worm to rotate, while the twin-screw compressor must add another level of speed increase gear to increase the speed of the main rotor.

2. The main performance parameters of the screw air compressor are power, volume flow, suction pressure, outlet temperature, discharge pressure and speed. In the design of the screw air compressor, a pair of intermeshing rotors is a very important parameter. Because it is closely related to the performance of the compressor. The yin and yang rotors of the screw compressor can be regarded as a pair of intermeshing helical gears. Therefore, the yin and yang rotor profiles of the screw compressor must also meet the meshing law. The intersection line of the rotor tooth surface and the vertical plane of the rotor axis is called the rotor profile. The rotor profile of the mobile screw compressor is divided into symmetrical profile and asymmetrical profile, as well as single-sided profile and double-sided profile. When the profiles on both sides of the center line of the tooth top are exactly the same, it is called a symmetrical profile. Conversely, when the profiles on both sides of the center line of the tooth top are different, it is called an asymmetrical profile. Profiles that only have profiles on one side of the inside or outside of the rotor pitch circle are called single-sided profiles. Profiles that have profiles on both the inside and outside of the pitch circle are called double-sided profiles. Generally speaking, the development and design of new profiles directly affects the performance of the screw air compressor, and the performance of the screw air compressor also depends on the design of the profile.
