In modern industrial production, compressed air is being used more and more widely, and is playing an increasingly important role in improving production efficiency and product quality, improving the degree of automation of production operations and work reliability. As a gas source, the compressed air discharged by the air compressor contains a large amount of mixed impurities such as water vapor, oil vapor and dust due to air compressor maintenance. If the compressed air containing these impurities is directly delivered to the compressed air using equipment, it will bring the following adverse consequences to the entire system:
1. High-pressure oil vapor gathers in the system pipeline to form a flammable or even explosive mixture. At the same time, the oil is vaporized at high temperature to form an organic acid, which is corrosive to metal equipment.
2. Because the mixture of water, oil and dust is deposited in the pipeline, the pipeline flow area is reduced and the air flow resistance is increased. In severe cases, it may even cause pipeline blockage, causing the entire system to work unstable.
3. In the freezing season, the condensation of water vapor will cause the pipeline and accessories to be damaged due to freezing.
4. Dust and other impurities in the air will grind the parts with relative motion. When the wear is serious, it will cause leakage and affect the accuracy and service life of the equipment.
5. Compressed air used for painting, chemical, food or precision parts processing, if it contains water, oil and impurities, will pollute the product and reduce the product quality. Severe maintenance may even make the product scrapped, affecting the product reputation.
