Reasons for carbon deposits in the oil circuit of variable frequency air compressor

Long-term use of variable frequency air compressors will always cause many faults, especially carbon deposits in the oil circuit. Why does carbon deposits occur in the oil circuit?

1. Air filtration. The dust particles inhaled with the air make the oil thicker, which increases the time of oil oxidation reaction, thereby accelerating the speed of carbon deposit formation. Therefore, pay attention to the correct installation of the air filter element and replace it when it is damaged during cleaning.

2. Temperature. Obviously, the starting temperature of oxidation of lubricants of different grades and types of oils is different. The long-term operation of variable frequency air compressors in high temperature areas will accelerate the oxidation of lubricants.

3. Lubricant quality. Air compressor lubricants generally do not deposit carbon within the specified service life, but there are currently many procurement channels for original oils, and different lubricant brands are constantly changing. The quality is inevitably different. Carbon deposits in these cases are not uncommon.

4. Lubricant overuse. After the lubricating oil exceeds the prescribed service life, the service life can be appropriately extended according to the appearance of the lubricating oil. Even if it does not exceed the time limit, the oil use cycle should be shortened accordingly as the temperature rises. In this case, the air compressor will be unable to operate due to carbon deposition in a very short time. Methods for repairing and cleaning carbon deposition in the oil circuit and the head. If the carbon deposition in the oil circuit and the main engine is not too serious, you can use an online cleaning agent (compressor online carbon deposition cleaning agent or cleaning oil). The main engine that has been bitten or the pipeline with serious carbon deposition can be directly placed in the container for soaking and cleaning; for large main engines, the outlet pipeline and oil pipeline can be sealed and then poured into the cleaning agent for soaking. The soaking time shall be subject to the instructions of the cleaning agent, generally 8-12 hours. Some cleaning agents are highly corrosive and the required soaking time should be strictly observed.
