What are the causes of air compressor blockage?

When using air compressors daily, there are many reasons for air compressor blockage. Usually, what we call blockage refers to screw air compressors, and the parts that cause blockage are nothing more than air filter elements, oil filter elements, oil separators and other consumables. Usually, their service life is limited, and blockage is often caused by them. Air filter elements, oil filter elements, and oil separators are all consumables of screw air compressors. They all have a service life. They should be replaced in time after expiration. Otherwise, blockage or rupture will seriously affect the normal operation of the air compressor.

The service life of the "three filters" is generally 2000h, but due to the influence of the following reasons, the occurrence of blockage failure will be accelerated. The oil filter element should be replaced in time when it reaches the service life. It is a consumable item. The reasons for the blockage before the use time is reached and the early alarm is basically: the quality of the oil filter itself has problems; the air quality of the use environment is poor, the dust is too large, resulting in premature blockage of the oil filter, and there is carbon deposition in the air compressor oil. The air filter is the air inlet of the air compressor. Natural air enters the unit through the air filter and is compressed to form compressed air.

The blockage of the air filter is generally mainly due to the surrounding use environment factors, such as the cement industry, ceramic industry, textile industry, and furniture industry. The air filter should be replaced frequently. In addition, the failure of the differential pressure transmitter leads to a fault alarm. If the differential pressure transmitter is damaged, it should be replaced. While the oil separator separates the compressed air and the oil, impurities will be retained on the filter material, blocking the filter pores, causing excessive resistance, increasing the power consumption of the air compressor, and is not conducive to energy conservation and emission reduction.

The environment around the air compressor contains volatile gases; the high temperature of the machine accelerates the oxidation of the air compressor oil. Once these gases enter the air compressor, they react chemically with the oil to produce carbon deposits and sludge. Some impurities entering the oil circulation system will be intercepted by the oil filter, and another part of the impurities will rise to the oil separator with the oil-gas mixture. When the gas passes through the oil separator, these impurities are retained on the oil separator filter paper, blocking the filter holes. The resistance of the oil separator gradually increases, causing the oil separator to need to be replaced in advance within a short period of time.
