How to deal with rusted air compressor pipes

We all know that long-term operation of screw air compressors will cause the equipment to be blocked by scale, which will reduce efficiency, increase energy consumption, and shorten life. If scale cannot be removed in time, there will be a risk of equipment maintenance, shutdown or scrapping and replacement. Air compressor cleaning is an important part of air compressor maintenance work. For a long time, traditional cleaning methods such as mechanical methods (scraping, brushing), high-pressure water, chemical cleaning (pickling), etc. have many problems when cleaning air compressors: they cannot completely clean scale and other deposits, and cause corrosion to the equipment. The residual acid causes secondary corrosion or under-scale corrosion to the material, resulting in equipment replacement. In addition, the cleaning waste liquid is toxic and requires a lot of money for wastewater treatment. Let's talk about the cleaning steps and precautions for the scale of screw energy-saving air compressors.

1. Pressurize and ensure that there is no leakage in the heat exchange equipment.

2. Isolate the heat exchanger system and drain the water inside.

3. Use high-pressure water to clean the sludge, algae and other impurities retained in the heat exchange equipment.

4. It is necessary to install an air vent above the heat exchanger.

5. Connect the delivery pump and pipeline, and start pumping the required Fustech cleaning agent into the heat exchanger (the proportion can be adjusted according to the specific situation). The cleaning agent is pumped in from the bottom of the heat exchanger and flows out from the top.

6. Circulate the cleaning to the recommended cleaning time. As the cleaning progresses and the sediment dissolves, the gas generated during the reaction will also increase. The excess air should be discharged through the air vent at any time. As the air is discharged, the space in the heat exchanger will increase, and the cleaning agent can be supplemented in an appropriate amount.

7. The effectiveness of the cleaning agent should be checked regularly during the cycle, and the pH test paper can be used for determination. If the solution is kept at a pH of 2-3, the cleaning agent is still effective. If the pH value of the cleaning agent reaches 3 or above, an appropriate amount of cleaning agent needs to be added. Keep the pH value of the solution at 2-3 for 30 minutes without obvious changes, which means that the cleaning requirements are met.

8. After the cleaning time is reached, recycle the cleaning solution. And rinse it repeatedly in the forward and reverse directions with clean water until it is rinsed to neutral and ensure that there is no residue.

9. When scale is present, it is difficult to determine whether the heat exchange equipment has leakage caused by under-scale corrosion. After cleaning, the equipment should be pressurized again to see if there is corrosion leakage.

10. After ensuring that the heat exchange equipment has no leakage, install and operate it.
