How to choose an air compressor system for a factory

How to choose an air compressor system for a new factory? When you need an air compressor for a new factory and you are confused and don’t know where to start, please read the following introduction:

When building an air system, in addition to the purchase cost, how to save high-frequency electricity expenses? How to extend the life of the air machine? How to stabilize the air supply pressure? And how to reduce environmental noise and pollution? These are the problems that users are looking forward to solving. How to correctly choose an air compressor in the early stage of setting up plays a key role. The following Zhongshan Shunli maintenance engineer will explain to you from 10 aspects:

(1) The purpose of compressed air;

(2) The minimum operating pressure level;

(3) The required air volume at the peak and off-peak. If the difference between the highest and lowest operating pressures reaches 3 bar, "high and low pressure diversion" must be considered, and then different types of air compressors should be selected according to the changes in peak and off-peak loads, such as using centrifugal (single unit>75CMM) or spiral (single unit<60CMM) for "base load" and using high-pressure air machines and large air storage tanks for "variable load".

(4) Select and configure dryers and precision filters of different forms and grades according to different gas quality. Excessive quality wastes energy, and insufficient quality affects the process, which must be carefully considered.

(5) The control technology of air machines is changing with each passing day. Technologies such as "multi-machine interlocking", "variable frequency and speed" and "remote monitoring" can effectively suppress the waste of centrifugal BOV and spiral empty cars (saving 25-40% of electricity costs), reduce spare machine capacity and investment (15-30%), and stabilize the gas supply pressure (plus or minus 0.1 bar).

(6) Operation efficiency cannot only be compared with the nominal horsepower and air volume on the catalog. The focus is on the actual "performance curve" and "air volume per horsepower".

(7) Installation should consider the size of the room, ventilation conditions, noise isolation, waste heat, wastewater recovery, etc., all of which affect the use of energy. In addition, "centralized" has lower installation, maintenance and control costs than "distributed", and can also reduce peripheral equipment.

(8) As for cooling methods, there are two types: air cooling and water cooling. Air cooling does not require additional investment in cooling tower rainwater, but must have good ventilation: water cooling is that the operating temperature is not affected by the environment, which is beneficial to the life of the air compressor, but has the disadvantages of ice bursting and blockage.

(9) Power supply planning voltage requirements and voltage drop stability must be required. Centrifuges are usually high voltage and cannot be moved at all. When starting, they will cause impact on the power grid and should be kept running regularly.

(10) The maintenance room should have appropriate maintenance space and necessary lifting facilities and access channels. Engineering personnel and maintenance should also be given different maintenance professional training.
