As the Spring Festival approaches, safety issues have become a top priority. In order to prevent accidents, today I will explain the safety of air compressors. The most serious injury to air compressors during work is compressor burst. During work, the cylinder, air storage tank, exhaust pipe, etc. of the compressor may burst.
What are the main causes of burst?
(1) The mechanical strength of the compressed part of the compressor does not meet the relevant national standards;
(2) The compressed air pressure exceeds the specified limit and the compressor is overloaded;
(3) Compressed air, lubricating oil and its decomposition products form an explosive mixture;
(4) Dust and oil are deposited on the inner wall of the compressor cylinder, air storage tank, air duct, etc.;
(5) Carbon deposits that can spontaneously combust are formed in the cylinder wall of the compressor;
(6) During maintenance, wiping materials, kerosene and gasoline are dropped into the cylinder, air storage tank and air duct;
(7) The compressor cylinder is subjected to hydraulic impact;
(8) The piston, connecting rod and crank mechanism are broken;
(9) When the cylinder wall temperature is too high, cooling water is suddenly injected into the cylinder water jacket.
