How to operate an air compressor under load

The first load operation of an air compressor is carried out after the empty vehicle is operated and purged. The air compressor should be operated under load according to the following requirements:

1. After starting, gradually close the vent valve or oil and water blow-off valve, and operate the air compressor at 1/4 of the rated pressure for 1 hour; operate at 1/2 of the rated pressure for 4-8 hours;

2. The air compressor operates at the minimum pressure, and the pressure can be gradually increased after no abnormal phenomenon;

3. For large high-pressure air compressors, the operating time at the nominal pressure shall not be less than 24 hours;

4. During operation, check the following items:

(1) Lubricating oil pressure, temperature and oil supply. The oil pressure shall not be less than 1 kg/cm2 before being sent to the distribution pipeline. The oil humidity of the lubricating oil in the crankcase or fuselage should be: the air compressor with a crosshead shall not exceed 60°C. The air compressor without a crosshead shall not exceed 70°C.

(2) The air compressor runs smoothly and the sound of each moving part should be normal.

(3) Measure the inlet and outlet water temperatures and check the cooling water supply. The cooling water is not allowed to flow intermittently or have bubbles or blockage. The cooling water discharge temperature shall not exceed 40°C.

(4) The flange parts, shaft seals, inlet and exhaust valves, cylinder heads and water jackets of the National Bureau of Surveying and Mapping shall not leak air, oil or water.

(5) The inlet and exhaust valves should work normally and the safety valve should be sensitive.

(6) There shall be no looseness in the connecting parts.

(7) The measured exhaust temperature and pressure values at each level shall comply with the provisions of the technical conditions.

(8) The heating condition and current value of the motor shall comply with the provisions.

5. After the operation is completed, disassemble and inspect the following items:

(1) Disassemble the valves at each level and the front covers of each cylinder, and check the friction of the cylinder mirror. If there are friction marks, find out the cause.

(2) Check the friction of the piston rod surface. There should be no wear marks or pulling.

(3) Disassemble the air valves at all levels and check the fit between the valve plate and the valve body. If there are cracks on the valve plate, replace it with a spare part.

(4) Check the friction between the cross slide and the friction surface of the machine body guide rail.

(5) Disassemble the connecting rod big head bearing and cross head pin and check the friction of the friction surface.

6. Replace the lubricating oil in the machine body. After the air compressor is operated for the first time; due to the running-in of various parts of the machine and the cleaning effect of the lubricating oil, a large amount of fine metal powder enters the lubricating oil. Therefore, all the lubricating oil should be replaced after the machine has worked for 24 hours. After running for 200 hours, replace the oil again. After changing twice, change the oil according to the regular maintenance requirements. In order to ensure uniform running-in, there must be sufficient lubricating oil in all parts during the first operation.
