What parameters should be debugged before starting the air compressor

After the screw air compressor has been used for a period of time, or has been shut down for a long time, or is running for the first time, it needs to be debugged. How to debug and which parts to debug are also what we air compressor users need to know.


Belt (coupling) correction


If the air compressor is belt-driven, the tightness of the belt should be between 10 and 20 mm. If the air compressor is coupling-driven, the motor and the main unit should be manually rotated after installation and the balance of the coupling should be checked when the coupling rotates. Air compressor couplings basically use elastic couplings, which can be ignored if the balance deviation is not large.


Main unit steering correction


If the main power supply is removed during the maintenance of the screw air compressor, pay attention to the forward and reverse rotation of the motor after the power supply is connected back. The direction of the motor should be based on the direction of the main unit. For the correct direction of the air compressor main unit, please check the steering icon marked on the main unit.


Correction method: swap any two power lines in the three-phase power supply.

Screw air compressor unit internal pressure correction


The unit internal pressure should be between 0.2~0.45MPa.


Correction method: The pressure value should be taken when the unit is unloaded and the value is adjusted on the adjusting nut of the small pressure valve. In order to facilitate the reading of the adjusted value, the pressure detection point should be taken before the small pressure valve and a pressure gauge should be installed (some microcomputer controllers have the function of displaying internal pressure parameters. If there is no such function, a pressure gauge should be installed before the small pressure valve).


Loading, unloading, and proportional value correction


When setting these three parameters, the unloading value of the air compressor should be determined. The unloading value should be determined based on the rated pressure of the screw air compressor and the pressure required by the gas end. After determining the unloading value, set the loading value. The pressure difference between the two should be between 0.1~0.2Mpa. After setting the unloading and loading values of the screw air compressor, set the proportional value. The proportional value should be set between the unloading value and the loading value.

Correction method: Set this parameter in the microcomputer controller (if the screw air compressor is controlled by buttons, the loading and unloading parameters should be adjusted from the pressure switch, and the proportional value should be adjusted at the adjusting nut of the proportional valve on the unloading valve).


High temperature protection value correction


When the screw air compressor is working normally, its temperature should be between 65 and 98°C. The automatic shutdown temperature of the over-temperature protection shall not exceed 105°C.
