Cause 1 of air compressor oil blockage: The environment around the air compressor
The environment around the air compressor contains corrosive gases, such as sulfides, thinner, and cleaning chemicals that evaporate in the air in some occasions. The high temperature of the machine itself accelerates the oxidation of the engine oil. Once these gases enter the air compressor system and react chemically with the engine oil, carbon deposits and sludge will be produced. Some impurities enter the oil circulation system and are intercepted by the oil filter. Another part of the impurities rise to the oil with the oil-gas mixture. When the gas passes through the oil, these impurities are retained on the oil filter paper, blocking the filter hole. The resistance of the oil gradually increases, causing the oil to need to be replaced in advance in a short time.
Cause 2 of air compressor oil blockage: Failure to use qualified air filters, oil filters, and engine oil, one or more of these situations exist!
1. Air filters with poor filtration accuracy will prevent some dust particles in the air from being intercepted and directly enter the air compressor system, increasing the load on the oil filter and oil separator, causing the oil filter and oil separator to be blocked prematurely.
2. Due to the poor filtration accuracy of the oil filter, some impurities, oil oxides, and worn metal particles entering the air compressor system are intercepted on the oil filter filter layer, while the other part of the impurities circulate in the machine until they rise to the oil separator. After separation, they are retained in the oil filter layer, causing the oil separator to be blocked prematurely. Some inferior oil filters are used for dozens of hours, and the bypass valve opens, and the oil is not filtered in the circulation system.
3. Engine oil with poor oxidation resistance should not be used. Even if the working time is short, it will produce carbon deposits and cavities, which will block the oil separator.
Reason 3 for air compressor oil separator blockage: There is a leak in the pipeline between the air filter and the main engine air inlet:
1. There is a problem with the sealing of the contact surface between the air filter and the air filter assembly. There are several reasons:
(1) The air filter is not installed properly (wrong size).
(2) The contact surface of the air filter assembly is uneven (the air filter assembly is deformed).
(3) There is dirt attached to the contact surface between the air filter and the assembly, causing leakage.
(4) The elastic contact pad on the surface of the air filter is tilted.
(5) The air filter or air filter assembly is broken.
2. There is a leak in the middle of the intake hose:
(1) The intake hose is aged and broken.
(2) The intake hose is not installed properly.
3. The seal at the connection between the intake valve and the head is leaking, which may be caused by damage to the seal or tilting.
Reason 4 for the oil filter blockage of the air compressor: Excessive moisture on the oil filter material causes the filter material to swell and the micropores to shrink, which reduces the effective separation area of the oil, resulting in increased oil resistance and premature blockage of the oil.
1. The minimum pressure valve leaks. When the machine stops, the external airflow flows back to the oil separator along the leak of the minimum pressure valve. Due to the simultaneous decrease in air pressure and temperature, the gas condenses into water droplets. The water droplets enter the oil separator, causing the filter material to absorb water, swell and deteriorate.
2. The user's gas consumption is small, the air compressor load time is short, and it is in an unloaded state most of the time. When the air compressor is unloaded, the water cannot be discharged in time, and the water is retained in the oil filter material.
3. The machine runs below 75℃ for a long time, so that the water in the inhaled air cannot be discharged and remains in the oil filter material for a long time.
