Importance of air compressor to laser cutting machine

Laser cutting machine is a common mechanical processing equipment in the metal processing industry. When many people buy laser cutting machines, they don’t know that the operation of laser cutting machines actually needs to rely on a lot of auxiliary equipment to complete the processing. Air compressor is one of its auxiliary equipment. Since many companies do not have a deep understanding of the role of air compressors and do not pay attention to them, it often has a great impact on the quality of products cut by laser cutting machines. So how important is the air compressor to the laser cutting machine? How to maintain it?

1. The important role of air compressor in laser cutting machine processing

When laser cutting machine is processing, protective gas must be used. Air is of course a simple and economical protective gas, and the role of air compressor is to compress part of the air with high-purity oxygen and high-purity nitrogen to form cutting gas for cutting head, and part of it is used as power gas source to supply to the cylinder of clamping workbench, and then part of it is used to purge and dust the optical system. The compressed air discharged from the air passes through the gas storage tank and dryer into the gas control cabinet, and then passes through a set of sophisticated processing system to become clean and dry gas, and finally divided into three ways, which are used as cutting gas, cylinder power gas source and optical path positive pressure dust removal gas to maintain the normal operation of laser cutting machine. Therefore, air compressor is indispensable for every laser cutting equipment, and it is also very important for laser cutting machine.

2. Maintenance of air compressor in laser cutting machine

The air compressor is a component of the laser cutting machine system. The following is the maintenance and maintenance of its main components.

Air filter element. Generally, dust and impurities on the surface of the air filter element should be removed every 500 hours, and it should be checked every 2000 hours whether it needs to be replaced. The inspection or replacement cycle can be extended or shortened according to the dust content.

Inlet valve seal. Check the seal ring condition every 4000 hours of operation of the air compressor of the laser cutting machine, and replace it if necessary.

Compressor lubricating oil. Check whether the lubricating oil is sufficient every 1000 hours, and replace new oil every 4000 hours.

Oil filter. Replace a new part every 2000 hours.

Oil-gas separator. Replace a new part every 4000 hours.

Small pressure valve. Clean it every 4000 hours and check whether the opening pressure is normal.

Safety valve. Check whether its action is sensitive every 4000 hours.

Oil drain valve. Drain water and dirt every 2000 hours.

Drive belt. Adjust the tightness every 2000 hours, check the wear every 4000 hours, and decide whether to replace it according to the wear.

Motor maintenance. Perform maintenance according to the motor instruction manual.

In order to ensure the normal and reliable operation of the air compressor of the laser cutting machine and ensure the service life of the unit, a detailed maintenance plan must be formulated, and designated personnel, regular maintenance, regular inspection and maintenance must be implemented to keep the air compressor unit clean, oil-free and dirt-free.

3. Maintenance and maintenance of auxiliary equipment cold dryers

1. Drain 3 to 8 times a day (depending on the air humidity), and drain the air and accumulated water in the machine after get off work;

2. Clean the air filter element once a month;

3. Dust and clean the condenser heat dissipation fins once a month;

4. Replace the air filter element every six months.

4. Maintenance and care of the voltage stabilizer

1. After the new voltage stabilizer has been running for one month, cut off the main power supply and retighten all the connection terminals in the voltage stabilizer, especially the main circuit;

2. Check the elasticity of the sliding carbon brush every three months, and blow away the carbon powder and dust adhering to the components in the voltage stabilizer with dry compressed air.
