How to solve the problem of slow air compressor pumping

Air compressor technicians often encounter various air compressor technical problems. Today, we will analyze the problem of slow air compressor pumping. For example, the air compressor has been pumping normally during operation, but the pumping speed has slowed down recently, the temperature difference between the upper cover plates of the cylinder head has increased, and the pointer of the low-pressure cylinder exhaust pressure gauge has a large swing. In response to this fault phenomenon, the technicians usually give the following solutions:

The inspections that need to be done are: stop the air compressor, remove the low-pressure cylinder cover plate on the upper part of the cylinder head, take out the exhaust valve assembly, pour diesel into the valve groove of the exhaust valve, and find that diesel flows out from the valve plate and the valve body mating sealing surface, indicating that the exhaust valve has lost its seal. Remove the valve plate fixing nut, take out the valve plate, and check one by one to find out the worn or severely worn parts.

When the air compressor is working, the long-term repetitive impact of the valve plate causes the mating sealing surface to wear, causing part of the compressed air in the low-pressure cylinder to flow back into the cylinder, reducing the effective exhaust volume of the air compressor.

Because the low-pressure cylinder exhaust valve is not tightly sealed, when the low-pressure cylinder piston moves downward to inhale, the compressed air in the radiator is sucked back into the low-pressure cylinder, causing the low-pressure cylinder exhaust pressure to drop rapidly. When the low-pressure cylinder piston moves upward, the exhaust air pressure rises rapidly again. The pressure is sometimes high and sometimes low, causing the low-pressure cylinder exhaust pressure gauge pointer to swing more.

Troubleshooting method: Use a triangular scraper to scrape off the dirt on the valve body mating surface, replace a new low-pressure exhaust valve plate, and use diesel to check whether it is sealed. If it is still not sealed, the valve body needs to be replaced. Pay attention to the direction when replacing the valve plate.
