Air compressor coolers mainly come in two forms: air-cooled and water-cooled. The cleaning methods for each type of cooler are different. Let's briefly discuss them today.
Air-cooled cooler
1. Open the air guide cover or remove the cooling fan;
2. Use compressed air to blow away the dirt, then remove it from the air guide cover. If it is very dirty, spray some degreaser before blowing. If it is a screw air compressor, the cooler can be removed first, soaked or sprayed with cleaning solution, and cleaned with a brush (do not use a steel brush);
3. Install the cover plate or cooling fan.
Water-cooled cooler
1. Remove the cooling water inlet and outlet pipes.
2. Pour in an appropriate amount of cleaning solution for soaking or use a pump for circulating flushing.
3. Then rinse with clean water.
4. Install the cooling water inlet and outlet pipes.
If the cooler has a lot of dirt and is difficult to clean thoroughly, we can remove the cooler, open the end caps on both ends, and use a special cleaning steel brush tool to clean the dirt. If cleaning the medium side of the cooler does not effectively reduce the temperature, then the oil side needs to be cleaned: First, remove the oil inlet and outlet pipes, then pour in the cleaning solution for soaking or use a pump for circulating flushing, rinse thoroughly with clean water, then dry with compressed air or remove moisture with dehydrating oil, and finally, install the oil inlet and outlet pipes.
