Operating Procedures for a Screw Air Compressor

Today, let's discuss the operating procedures for starting a screw air compressor.

1. Pre-start preparations: Check the oil level in the oil-gas separator. Gently open the oil drain valve at the bottom of the oil-gas separator to remove any condensate that may be present. After confirming there is no condensate, remember to tighten the valve before opening the air compressor's air supply valve.

2. Start-up: Connect the power supply and turn on the power switch. Observe the control panel for any abnormal displays and check if the phase sequence is accurate. If any abnormal displays are found, immediately disconnect the power and repair the problem before continuing to use the compressor. Also, never reverse the motor.

3. Start-up: Press the "ON" button on the control panel. The air compressor will begin operating in the set mode. At this time, remember to observe whether the parameters on the panel are normal, whether the pressure exceeds 0.85MPa, whether the exhaust temperature exceeds 105℃, whether there are any abnormal noises, and whether there are any oil leaks. If any are found, stop the machine immediately and check. Also, when starting the compressor, turn on the main unit first, and then turn on the slave unit after about one minute.

4. Shutdown: Press the "OFF" button on the control panel. The air compressor will begin unloading and will stop after a period of time. When shutting down, stop the slave unit first, then the main unit.

5. Only press the emergency stop button if the air compressor experiences an emergency. If restarting is required, wait at least 2 minutes.

6. Never start the air compressor under load, as this will damage components due to excessive starting current.

7. When the air compressor is not in use, remember to disconnect the power supply, close the air supply valve, and drain any accumulated water from the cooler, oil-water separator, and exhaust pipe.

8. When shutting down for maintenance, the power switch on the power cabinet must be turned off, a tag must be attached, and the circuit breaker must be grounded.
