Technical Features and Performance Advantages of PSA Nitrogen Generators

PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generators utilize the most mature and reliable PSA technology internationally. Combined with its unique process flow, optimized pipeline design, and advanced filling technology, it effectively prevents the peeling and failure of carbon molecular sieves (CMS) and eliminates the tunneling effect within the adsorption tower. This significantly improves the performance of the carbon molecular sieve. While saving energy, it can produce nitrogen gas with a purity of 97%-99.999% in one step. For special requirements, the purity can reach 99.9995%.

Nitrogen is a major component of air, comprising approximately 79% and oxygen 20.9%. At room temperature and atmospheric pressure, nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-flammable gas with a boiling point of -195.8℃. Its chemical properties are very stable, and it hardly reacts with other substances. Except for ammonia synthesis, nitrogen is widely used as a protective gas in industries such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, coal mining, food processing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, magnetic materials, transportation, heat treatment, tire manufacturing, thermoelectric power, and aviation. PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generators use air as feedstock and carbon molecular sieves as adsorbents. Utilizing the principle of pressure swing adsorption, they separate nitrogen and nitrogen through the selective adsorption of oxygen by carbon molecular sieves. This method is commonly known as PSA nitrogen generation.

PSA nitrogen generators feature advanced unmanned operation: a self-developed oxygen purity analyzer monitors nitrogen purity in real time, automatically discharging nitrogen that does not meet purity requirements, thus preventing impurities from affecting product quality; reliable PLC control enables 24-hour automated unmanned operation. High-quality nitrogen meets the requirements of various industries: PSA nitrogen generators are typically equipped with high-precision filters, ensuring nitrogen particles are less than 0.01μm and oil content is less than 0.01ppm. With additional adsorption dryers and sterile filter devices, they can further meet the high requirements of specialized industries such as LCD displays, quartz oscillators, food, and pharmaceuticals.

PSA (Personalized Air Supply) nitrogen generators produce nitrogen on-site using an air compressor. The purity of the nitrogen produced is customizable from 95% to 99.999%. The advantages of this method are extremely low nitrogen cost, electricity consumption only, convenience, stability, no transportation restrictions, and simple maintenance. The disadvantages are a one-time equipment cost and the need for regular maintenance by the end user. Users can choose either method based on their needs. In China, due to environmental regulations and urban transportation restrictions, approximately 80% of Chinese factories have switched to using PSA on-site nitrogen generators to supply nitrogen.
