 PSA Nitrogen Plants Working Principle


According to the principle of pressure swing adsorption (PSA), high quality carbon molecular sieve was used as adsorbent. Under a certain pressure and due to the kinetic effect, the diffusion rate of oxygen in the micropores of carbon molecular sieve is much higher than that of nitrogen. When the adsorption is not balanced, oxygen is adsorbed by carbon molecular sieve in large quantities, and nitrogen molecules are enriched in the gas phase, thus, achieving the separation of oxygen and nitrogen. Because the adsorption capacity of carbon molecular sieve on oxygen with different pressure have obvious differences, therefore, by reducing the pressure, you can desorb carbon molecular sieve adsorption of oxygen molecules, so that carbon molecular sieve regeneration, to repeat recycling. Meanwhile, we adopt the two-adsorption tower process, one tower is used for adsorption and nitrogen production; the other tower is used for desorption and regeneration. The PLC intelligent program controls the pneumatic angle valve opening and closing, so that the two towers cycle alternately, continuously producing high-quality nitrogen.
